We maintain a healthy diet (gluten free, non-GMO, organic), and want to experience Chicago's great restaurant. We are looking for suggestions.
A few random places that I've been to:
Green Zebra (I thought it was kind of salty)
Protein Bar (I've eaten in the one at Northwestern Hospital, healthy but I didn't think the taste was great)
The Goddess And Grocer (pretty good stuff, I think I mostly went to the one in Bucktown)
Summer House Santa Monica (Old Town, or there's actually one in O'Hare International Airport)
Heartland Cafe (they have live musicians)
Uncommon Ground (I think this place also has music)
Karyn's Raw Bistro (vegan friends like it, but I don't know any details)
You can look up more options online. Chicago has a ton of restaurants, so you can probably find interesting menu options at a lot of places. You may want to pick based on location also for convenience.
