Mark from Jonesboro asked

Is April a good month to visit Chattanooga?

We're considering visiting Chattanooga this April. What would you recommend doing in and around the area? What's the food scene like? Thank's for your help!

You can't go to Chattanooga and not see Ruby Falls. It's the most incredible waterfall I've ever seen. Totally worth the trip there to see it.

The Tennessee Aquarium is a must. The Tennessee Aquarium, open on weekends is a great place to see local art, sample local food and brews.

Chattanooga weather in April could be rainy and the weather is unpredictable. On the other hand, It is very beautiful this time of year with everything blooming. Make sure and pack some allergy medicine!

April will be very nice in Chattanooga.
Don't miss the Tennessee Aquarium downtown. Try a boat ride on the Southern Belle Riverboat, and there are lots of restaurants in that area. (City Cafe Diner is great for breakfast and Public House Restaurant for lunch or dinner.) You might want to check out the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel for a bit of history or food at Stir. Then go up on Lookout Mountain and see Rock City for beautiful views and the national park to get a feel for the Civil War. If you want more Civil War, go down to the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park to feel the horror of what happened there.
And I shouldn't forget enjoying the Tennessee River by renting a kayak, canoe, whatever, and paddling away.
