Where's best to go free running in cape town?

I want a safe place to go free running, preferably somewhere a bit out of the way but not kilometeres outside the city. Any suggestions?

The Promenade that runs from the V&A Waterfront to Bantry Bay is beautiful and wide but it is "in the city". A more out the way option is in Constantia Glen.

Start at the Green Point Lighthouse in Mouille Point, run along the promenade to Camps Bay. If you want to run further, then run along the road to Twelve Apostles and further up to Suikerbossie, into Hout Bay. Quite a safe route to run.

There are so many places and running groups to join up with in and around Cape Town. By Free Running, do you mean Trail Running? Have a look on facebook for Tuesday Trails, MATES, Celtics Trail Running, UTCT, etc. Enjoy!
