I'm going to be in Alberta for the first time this fall and I'm looking for tips on where to stay for a couple nights in Calgary. My preference is interesting hotels with mid-range prices.
This isn't really mid-range, although you can find some specials if the timing is right. The The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a stunning hotel in terms of location (BANFF Nat'l Park and UNESCO Heritage site), size and intention. Their aim to be recognized on a global scale for responsible tourism & a progressive eye toward the environment.
