From Colorado Springs
is about 25 hours so can be done in 5 hours a day plus or minus. I hate driving through Kansas - it never seems to end. So I suggest the first stop is Amarillo
. Amarillo has an amusement park, a zoo, the Wildcat Bluff Nature Center, the Texas Air and Space Museum. The second day go to Norman
where among other things is the Sam Norman Natural history museum and also another water park (Andy Alligator's Fun Park) as well as other attractions. The third day Hot Springs National Park
. You can tour one of the old spas there free, and there is also a tower where for a fee you can go up for a view of the countryside. Next either Memphis
or if you prefer Nashville
Memphis has an old trolley through the downtown and also Elvis's Graceland. If you go to Buford from Memphis you will go through Birmingham (Alabama)
there is a big Botanical garden there and also Sloss Furnaces.
