Head to East Aurora (20 minutes from downtown Buffalo) and dine at the Historic Roycroft Inn! Great food and service and an amazing destination!

I would definitely suggest checking out Anchor Bar or Duff's Wings!

Buffalo has a great food scene. Here's a list of recommendations in no particular order:

Shango New Orleans's bistro

Five Points Bakery - try the cinnamon buns

Martin Cooks - awesome, awesome, awesome. You'll need a reservation.

Blue Monk

Seabar - try the beef on weck roll

There's a food truck gathering on Tuesday nights in Larkin Square that's supposed to be really good, but I haven't been yet.

Buffalo is a small city. For Buffalo proper, I would say the "best" is EB Green's Steakhouse at the Downtown Hyatt (Main St). Buffalo Chophouse on Franklin St is also good, but I think inconsistent. Of course, the Buffalo classic is the Anchor Bar, birth place of the Chicken Wing. There are many more options in the city and the Buffalo suburbs are loaded with fine restaurants also. It depends where you'll be staying and how far you can travel. Suburbs are Northtowns, Southtowns, and east, west is Canada (just over the bridge if you bring your passport).
