Start Up Scene in Buenos Aires?

Hi guys,

travelling to Buenos Aires in September/October I would love to connect to the local start-up scene. Does somebody have any advice for online communities or special places in the city where to connect with those folks?

Thanks!

I've lived in BA for three years and was involved in a startup business. There is a team called Palermo Valley who organizes regular meetups and other events for/with startups: http://www.palermovalley.com/ But not sure if it still exists, no recent updates on the website...

On Quora I found a similar discussion: http://www.quora.com/Is-there-a-Silicon-Valley-in-Buenos-Aires Maybe there you find more details.

Hi there, you can probably start looking at these: http://www.palermovalley.com/ and http://www.startups.com.ar/incubadoras/. There also is an official initiative to promote innovation in Capital Federal: http://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/distritoseconomicos/distritotecnologico

I usually check Meetup.com since there are a lot of different kind of groups that meet. Even if BA doesn't have a a start up group, you may connect with people that have local insight.
