Buenos Aires

Ship curfew in Port

We are booked on the Emerald Princess cruise, Buenos Aires to Valparaiso, Jan 3, 2018

We will be boarding the ship on Jan 3, 2018 at 1:00pm. But the ship will remain in port at Buenos Aires and does not sail until Jan 4, 2018 at 6:00pm.

After we board the ship Jan 3, 2018 at 1:00pm we want to go into town for dinner that evening with friends. Is there a ship or port curfew time that we cannot go on board the ship.

Hi Walt. As far as I know there is no curfew for adults, and you can go back to the ship whenever you want to as long as you are back in time for departure from Buenos Aires (time should be estimated in your itinerary but just in case you might want to contact your travel agent to confirm).

Many passengers visit tango shows when stopping in Buenos Aires and they do not end until midnight. (Keep in mind that Argentinians eat dinner late, most restaurants will not open until around 8:00 pm)

(Chila for ex is close to the port and offer exceptional Argentine culinary experience or do us Michelle Obama and head to the bohemian neighborhood San Telmo and eat at Gran Parrilla del Plata) Too bad you just have a few hours, Buenos Aires is an amazing city with a lot to explore.
