Where to eat?

Hi all,

Wife and I will be taking both sets of parents to Budapest in a few weeks (unfortunately only for a couple of days).  We're struggling with where to eat.  So far sounds like Costes (either original or downtown location) is a good option but not sure if it's too dressy for us.  Could someone please recommend perhaps a breakfast and couple dinner options for us?  Thanks in advance!

stellar bistro, incredible home grown food. Wonderful owners, our favorite place we ate it on our whole trip. Went back several times. Reservations a must!

So many amazing restaurants, and interestingly enough, excellent world cuisine as well!

I highly recommend Kasca Etterem on the Buda side. Their specialty is duck and it's some of the best duck I've ever had! The dining room feels like an old Victorian mansion.

Pesti Sörcsarnok is a great pub across from the central market serving no frills Hungarian staples like gulyasleves, Jokai bableves, Hortobagyi palacsinta, etc... make sure to wash it down with a refreshing Dreher or Soprani beer.

The central market (Nagy Vasarcsarnok) has a great food court upstairs but is worth a walk through (pick up some goose liver pate).

For non-Hungarian cuisine, you should make a trip to Pata Negra at Kálvin ter 8. Some of the best traditional Spanish tapas I've had outside of Spain. Also, just down Teréz körút from Oktogon sq. is a fantastic Turkish restaurant. Not sure the name, but it's a green sign that says "Török étterem" great food.
