Bryce Canyon National Park to Sedona, Arizona

My husband and I are staying 4 nites at Bryce Nat Canyon in April. From there we plan to drive to the Grand Canyon and on to Sedona. What's the best route? The best stops along the way? Best overnight stay? We were thinking Flagstaff for two to three days would allow us time to see the south rim and Sedona. Another option we're considering is an overnight in Paige, before driving to Flagstaff. From Flagstaff we'll be driving back to Denver.

I did this route but in reverse, from Sedona to Bryce (and beyond).
4 nights at Bryce might be more than you need, but that depends on what you plan to do there - the lodge is pretty spectacular and the trails are awesome.
We stayed overnight on the north rim of the Grand Canyon which is less touristy than the south rim, but not open all year long so check availability.
Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon are the highlights in Page. You can do both in a day, but make a reservation in advance for Antelope (or one of the other adjacent slot canyons). Lake Powell is awesome but unless you have or are renting a house boat, you probably won't be exploring it.
If you want to go to South Rim GC, plan to stay there. Flagstaff is almost 2 hours away. There are hotels in Tusayan if inside the park is booked. And I suggest staying in Sedona over Flagstaff. The things you want to see and do are there, no sense in adding drive time (but do enjoy the drive down Oak Creek Canyon, it's incredible).

Thank you so much. The information you provided is very helpful, especially the tip on reservations for Antelope Canyon and staying at Sedona rather than Flagstaff. · (1 like)

It’s a gorgeous area of the country. Have your camera batteries fully charged (with backups). You’ll want to take a lot of photos.
