Best coffee shops in Brooklyn?

I'm going to Brooklyn for the first time, and want to stop at some good coffee shops. I've really started to enjoy the taste of coffee with all of the options in SF. What are the most unique coffee places around?

Hands Down Sweetleaf. Rich is a complete Nerd when it comes to coffee and you can really feel that in the coffee. Also try the original Sweetleaf Coffee & Espresso Bar in Long Island City, Queens. Its about a five minute Taxi from BK. Tell him I said hello from Copenhagen.

Hi Sunil,

Some great spots that are a bit more unique in brooklyn are Budin in Greenpoint, AP Café in Bushwick, and Crosby Coffeein Crown Heights. Williamsburg has some popular, maybe less unique? cafes: Toby's Estate Coffee and Black Brick Coffee

The city has some great coffee shops too..

Enjoy!

I have three favorites in Brooklyn, all of which have great character to go along with their caffeinated pick-me-ups.  (1) Tin Cup Cafe, located in South Slope; (2) Roots Cafe, also located in South Slope; and (3) Steeplechase Coffee, located in Windsor Terrace.  Enjoy!
