Great Italian Restaurant in Boston

I am going to Boston for one night tomorrow for Derek Jeter's final game Sunday afternoon vs the Red Sox. I love Italian food and love Boston's North End. What is the best Italian restaurant in Boston these days or where should I not miss if not Italian? Budget is not an issue-just great food!

I'm too late for this - but RibelleCoppa and Sportello are my top three. In the North End, Taranta for food and Giacomo's Restaurant for value.

We love to dine the North End in Boston, especially L'Osteria on Salem St. They take reservations, the food and the atmosphere are great. So go dine listening to Boccelli in a pleasant atmosphere.

Should be a good game! Here are few of our favs in the north end:

Trattoria Il Panino-your real, genuine Italian north end experience, delicious authentic food--smaller space, maybe a wait, I'd recommend a res at all places. Gnocchi here is amazing--heavy and filling-good app split for 2/4 people just to try then get your own meals.

Lucca Restaurant--larger classy modern spot, go to for a great meal and upscale experience, some might argue not as authentic north end little Italy feel, but you'll still know you're in the north end--has always been amazing.

Carmen-haven't tried personally, but hear it's amazing--similar to first pick!

Ristorante Fiore--safe bet and delicious, maybe not top pick now that the roof deck is closed as that's always been our attraction.

Hope this helps!! Cheers!

Maggiano's Little Italy  in the theatre district has a family style that you pick the appetizers, entrees and desserts for a great price and they keep it coming as long as you wish! Make sure to go when you're hungry!
