Activity & Restaurant Recommendations for Kids visiting Boston?

What are your recommendations for a family visiting Boston with kids ages 6 and 9 other than the typical touristy activities? Also, what are some kid-friendly local restaurants in the city? If you have any ideas for interesting day trips from the city that would be appreciated too. Thanks!

The Boston Children's Museum on Congress Street.  Great places to eat nearby at Seaport.

Hi Susie. I always have the same recommendation when someone is visiting Boston.  Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market Boston are the best options for local food and shopping at the small stores. 100% recommended for kids!

Hope this helps.
