Our family will be traveling to Boston in mid May for graduation. We have a 2 and 4 yr old that will be with us. Any suggestions on fun activities? We will be there for 7 days and using the "T".
The Boston Duck Tours is a great way to see some of the city and the kids will love it when it sails down the Charles River.
A visit to the Public Gardenis well worth a visit. It is a lovely park where you can take a Swan Boatsride and also visit the Make Way for Ducklingsstatues.

The Boston Children's Museum was my all time favorite as a kid. I am not sure how up to date it is, but I loved it! Check it out!
Also make way for ducklings- a famous children's book, has a statue in the park across from the Cheers bar.
have fun!
Check out Castle Island for some cool hikes and views of Boston. Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester is perfect spot for families. A lot of tide pools and just a good place to spend the day.

Boston Children's Museum. The science museum is great, but maybe they're a bit too young?
Boston is a great city to visit with children? MUST go to the Boston Children's Museum http://www.bostonchildrensmuseum.org
THE BEST - spend hours there... I would return year after year and my kids still talk about climbing up the ropes to the top floor - in the center of the museum excellent gift shop.
Another must is the New England Aquarium http://m.neaq.org
You car walk the waterfront area to both of these locations. The most unique aquarium with a touch and feel exhibit. Huge tank in the center with a winding ramp up to the top . My kids still talk about this aquarium, also .
Another favorite spot is at the Public Garden, the SWAN RIDE BOAT.
http://swanboats.com my parents took me here in the '60s ,I took my children here inthe '90's. Charming , old fashioned boat ride on boats with carved swans on the ends.
Everyone's favorite location is Faneuil HallMarketplace http://www.faneuilhallmarketplace.com/?q=restaurants
A must for all who visit Boston - located at the Waterfront - walking distance from Aquarium and Children's Museum. FUN SPOT where jugglers/ etc. put on shows- my kids loved sitting and watching different shows.
Another favorite is the Duck rides http://bostonducktours.com/mobile/index.aspx
Another huge success- you must reserve tickets. Internet/ phone ( near the Prudential Center?) I went before Internet, a tour of the city as you are driven through the city - in a WW11 adapted amphibian truck, then the driver drives into the Charles River! The driver let the kids drive..the driver had a duck whistle ..SO MUCH FUN...
A MUST -
Traveling on the "T" is great -fun for the kids , also.
I might suggest an umbrella stroller/ carriage for the kids becauseyou do a lot of walking in Boston.
We have such fond family memories from several visits to Boston.
Enjoy...
