I'm from Bordeaux. You really have to see  Place de la Bourse and its water mirror by night. If you want to have a drink, the " Grosse Cloche" neighborhood is a cool place to do so. If you are interested in art, you should go to the CAPC or the submarine basis to see an exposition. And if you have enough time, I recommend to you to go the coast and see the Dune Du Pyla.

  2. Grosse Cloche (attraction)
  3. CAPC (attraction)

Discover Bordeaux on a bicycle the way locals would do. You will find "velib" rental stations throughout the city, all you need is a credit card for the deposit and the one euro fee per day (max 1 hour rental at a time). Pick up a bike Pont de Pierre then drive along the La Garonne up to the water mirror and Place des Quinconces then explore the area of Place Saint-Pierre and then Place Saint-Michel. You can pick up / drop the bike along the way in any velib station (just remember to print the receipt with the code on it so you can benefit from the 24 hours package). Cheers

A wine tour in Bordeaux is a must! For expensive tastes Saint-Émilion is a great winery. For a less expensive tour head to the L'Office de Tourisme in the city. They have packages with two wineries (Chateau Segonzac & Chateau Tayac) for around 30 euro. Either way you are getting incredible wine. It is Bordeaux afterall!

I also recommend the Bordeaux Cathedral at sunset. The sun turns the cathedral into a bright orange, then at dark you can see the stain-glass windows lit up. See a ballet or opera at  Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. The inside of this theater is breath-taking.

  1. Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux (attraction)
  2. Bordeaux Cathedral (attraction)
