Entertainment for a large group of customers in Birmingham?

We are looking to have our Distributor meeting in Birmingham in September.  What is there to do with a group of 30 people in this area in September?

Hey Katie!

There are plenty of great options.  Some that come to mind include:

The Alabama Sports Hall of Fame (Downtown): nice venue with excellent exhibits adjacent to the convention hotels and Uptown Entertainment District.

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute is world class and inspiring.

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum:  Best in Class Motorcycle Museum and excellent venue.

Vulcan Park and Museum:  Can't beat the view, excellent exhibits, nice meeting facility.  Oh, and the world's largest cast iron statue.

There are tons of other options as well.

As far as events go, the 4th Avenue Jazz Fest is at the end of September.

There are scores of other venues, attractions and hotels to choose from.  And our dining scene is so good that Zagat recently rate Birmingham a #1 up and coming Food City.

I recommend that you seek out the assistance of the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Their professionals can help make your meeting a success and your life easy.  Go to and fill out an RFP and download the Meeting Planner's Guide.

Have a great meeting!

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is a must-see attraction! I think they have meeting space there too (I know they did in the past). We have a great museum, Birmingham Museum of Art, that accommodates groups.
