The Neues Museum and the Pergamonmuseum. The Neues has the beautiful 3,000 year-old bust of Nefertiti and the Pergamon has the reconstructed Ishtar Gate from Babylon. Both completely unforgettable and awe-inspiring. Both have lots of fantastic other stuff of course...

From a trip last month I would say the highlights were visits to the Topography of Terror Museum, Liquidrom GmbH & Co. KG and bar hopping around Kreuzberg.

A few of my fav platetrotting and sightseeing tips from the city can be found here:

The highlights for me were really food and drink-related. I had the best gin and tonic I've ever had at Pauly Saal, a restaurant in a former girl's school. Definitely eat currywurst. Also had a great cocktail at Becketts Kopf, a speakeasy that happened to let us in even though we didn't have a reservation. (Berlin bars would be a bit hard to hang out in for those who are sensitive to smoke, however). Ate a great dinner at Katz Orange. Oh, and definitely check out the DDR Museum Berlin!
