If you could possibly understand German, there are several vernisages, museums, art shows, projects, concerts and several other free events daily.

Look on http://www.gratis-in-berlin.de/

Highlighted events include :

Deutsches Historisches Museum

Berliner Philharmonie

Potsdamer Platz

Märkisches Museum on the first Wednesday of the month

etc.

It's always cool in Berlin to walk along to Ku'damm, which is really just a street, but it has a lot of nice and diverse shops and restaurants.

You can also be sure to check out the KaDeWe which is a 6 story shopping mall.  It is possible not to buy anything and just enjoy the sights as we did when we went.

The  Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is a beautiful church in Downtown Berlin.  It is also called the Gedaechtniskirche.

Be sure to check out the Brandenburger Tor, or the Brandenburg Gate, the iconic passage into Berlin.

Obviously if this is your first time to Berlin, you will want to check out the remaining stretch of the Berlin Wall.  It lies on Mühlenstraße in a suburban sort of area.

There are some free walking tours available in the city, so be sure to do your research on those.

The largest park in the city, the Tiergarten, is a gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll and it's practically in the center of the city.

Berlin is full of fun things to do! Hope you have fun on your trip.  Viel Spaß!

Berlin Wall is a must.  There are tours, but you can also walk around and do it by yourself for free.  More info here: Berlin Wall:  A Photojourney.
