4 hours in Berlin, what should I check out?

I have a couple of hours mid morning to early afternoon in Berlin before heading into meetings for work. Suggestions about what to check out? Architecture is on the top of the list.

I did Berlin in a few hours once on a layover. I walked a big loop that hit the Bundestag, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, and Checkpoint Charlie, and then looped back to see some of the old museum/government buildings down Unter den Linden east of Brandenburg gate.

You might have time to head further east to see Alexanderplatz and the TV Tower which are cool.

That loop is neat because you get to see some of the bigger historical points and just walking through Berlin is a cool experience. So many things have happened there, just some time to yourself to see and think about how the city has changed and what those streets have seen is a great experience.

With only 4 hours, you probably won't be able to officially tour anything and see a bunch of other things, but the Bundestag and the TV tower are worthwhile tours. We also went on a river tour of Berlin one time which was well worth it.

Berlin is an amazing city. Pretty much anything you decide to do there will be worth it.

4 hours is very short, but you should definitely check out the Bundestag and Brandenburg Gate. It is very close to the main station and you will have many interesting spots in this area. Enjoy

Hi Matt - so much to see, so little time!

I would head for the area around the Brandenburg Gateimage from globalgrasshopper.comBrandenburg Gate, iconic for its significance and architecture. the Jewish Museum Berlin is close by and i found the outside space with the blocks very interesting. The Bundestag is a short walk away. There are access restrictions so worth checking in advance. Top it off with a fantastic view from the TV TowerTV Towerimage from 7is7.comBundestagEnjoy!

    Hi Matt,

Make your way over to Berliner Philharmonie, gorgeous building. Another great place would be the Jewish Museum Berlin.
