The ski season in Lebanon stretches between end of December and end of March.

There are 5 ski resorts in Lebanon: Ouadi Qadisha and the Forest of the Cedars of God, Faqra, Laqlouq, Qanat Bakish and Mzaar Lebanon Kfardebian.

The Mzaar Lebanon Kfardebian is the most used and best for beginners. Mzaar hosts 80 km of ski tracks, spread out over 42 different trails. The highest point (2465 meters) offers a spectacular view over the Bekaa Valley, Laqlouq, the Cedars and the coast. Challenging slopes can be found off piste or on the peaks of Jabal Dib and Warde.

Mzaar is 46 km from the capital and around an hour drive. Go north down the coastal highway until you reach the Dog River. Take the road going up and to the right towards Zouk Mosbeh. Keep going upwards past Jeita Grotto, Balloune and Faitroun, until you reach Farayavillage that is 6 km under Mzaar slopes.

The best hotel is  at the foot of the slopes. The InterContinental Mzaar (Mountain Resort & Spa)  which is around  an hour drive from Beirut, and is a 5 star establishment with 140 rooms and suites, conference facilities and a variety of dining venues.

Faraya Ski - Sports and Mountazah Al Zaarour For Skiing. However, the slopes at Zaarour are too steep and long for beginners. Faraya has a variety of slopes, with some very suitable for kids and beginners. Therefore, your best option would be Faraya Ski - Sports
