1 Hour layover in Beijing

Hi,

Me and a friend have booked tickets for Japan next year from Heathrow from 28th February till 11th march only problem is coming back from Japan the layover in Beijing is only 1 hour is this ok would we have to recheck our bags in again or just straight through passport and onto the next plane ?

The airline is Air china

Also we got given our E-ticket from Expedia but when i try and book our seats on Air China it would not let me see the seats any ideas on both problems ?

We are new to traveling to Japan and just want everything to be ok

Kind Regards,

MartinĀ

Hey Martin,

Wow! 1 hour connection time is kind of risky in any airport for international flights. Make sure you will be the first person to deplane, and get help from the airline or the flight attendant (if possible). Let them know that you have a short connection to Tokyo and may miss your next flight. Some airlines allow passengers with short connection times to leave the plane first.

You don't have to re-check your luggage when transiting in BeijingBeijing. Check your bags all the way through to your final destination. Here is a link for more info from Air China: https://www.airchina.us/US/GB/info/check-through-service/

As for seat assignments, it's best to call the airline and talk to a reservation agent.
