Barcelona
I´m looking for some great cheap tapas and drink specials, in Barcelona. great areas to hang out with friends and have good food
Go to Google maps and bring up the map of Barcelona. Now type in "restaurants" in the search bar and click "search". Take a screen grab and print out this map. Now throw a dart at it. You'll be fine. We remember the Rincón de Aragón Restaurant for fine food and reasonable prices besides. http://www.timeout.com/barcelona/restaurants/rincon-de-aragon
If you want cheap, I suggest these:
If you search for hidden jewels, download my free tapa guide, or even consider the book --> see the page #BCN - by locals

Check out El Bosc de les Fades\off of La Rambla. I'm nearly certain that means 'Forest of Fairies' in Catalan. The inside looks like Fraggle Rock. Also, there is a place called Espit Chupitos on Ave Colón that makes what seems like 1,000 different shots. They do some cool stuff with fire if you're into that kind of risky business.
Side note: Don't rent motorscooters from the Italian guy on that same road. And if you DO rent scooters you HAVE to where a helmet or you'll get pulled over.
If you have time to check out Camp Nou, I would recommend. The museum is worth checking out even if you don't get to see a game (they don't serve beer inside, fyi).

When you are at La Rambla (the shopping street of Barcelona) you have to take the side streets maybe they look dark and scary, there are the nicest tapas restaurants.
Elisabets Restaurant was my go-to place to bring visitors to BCN when I lived there. Great, cheap tapas and beer. They have a sandwich that I dream about (called El Campero). I also really like Anima for a cheap, delicious menú del día.
Bar Bitácora very near to barceloneta metro station has incredible cheep tapas. The pulpo a la gallega is my favorite
Definitely hit up Pinotxo in La Boqueria for breakfast - best cafe con leche I had during my whole travels. Also their tortilla espanola is to DIE for.
For cheap and unbelievable tapas, definitely can't miss Quimet & Quimet - they're known for their montaditos (little open-faced sandwiches piled high with deliciousness), and their food is out of this world. Standing only. Also definitely hit up El Xampanyet, an old cava bar and home to the best ham we ate in Spain. We let our waiter serve us his suggestions when we were there last month and everything was unbelievable.
