Barcelona, Majorca

5 Days in Barcelona

First euro trip coming up. 5-6 days in Barcelona. Is it worth it to try and get to Majorca for a couple days or should I just dedicate the time to Barcelona and Surrounding area. I will not have a car in either place.

Barcelonais a very cosmopolitan and interesting city. I am sure that you will spend at least 3 days enjoying the cultural side of Barcelona which is very wide. Take the Barcelona City Tour, at Plaça de Catalunyaand start the ride admiring the stunning Guadi's masterpieces such as La Pedrera / Casa Milà,Casa Batlló , Parc Güell  and Basílica de la Sagrada Família. I also recommend to visit MaremagnumMontjuïc MontserratMercat De La Boquería and El Barri Gòtic . We spent some time at Playa del Bogatell , a very nice Mediterranean beach that offers nice restaurants, bars. La Rambla is a vibrant and lively promenade filled with nice restaurants, bars, shops and art. The gastronomy of the city is outstanding. Try to reserve a hotel in this area as it is a very centric. Centro Comercial Las Arenasis a very cool shopping center which I highly recommend in case you want to do some shopping. You can get off the bus at Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya located just across the street and spend some time on this area. Pg. Lluís Companys - Arc de Triomf is also a beauty!

Enjoy the trip!!!

Not worth it, you can easily spend that time in Mayorca alone. Stay in Barcelona and surrounding areas. I highly recommend checking out Sitges just a short train ride from Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona station.

After 5 days in Barcelona, you'll wish you had 20 more!

If it's your first time, It's not worthy. Mallorca would be better in summer.

I'd stick to Barcelona, 4 or 5 days enough.

As alternatives to Mallorca, you can try 1-day trip to Montserrat and it's Monastery.

OR

Instead, you can try 1 day trip to Girona from Barcelona. about 1:30 with train. Good Cathedral of Gironaand Jewish town. Jardins de la Devesa also good. And a nice The River Cafè Gironaarea too.

enjoy!

I stayed 3 days/4 nights in Barcelona - I felt that was enough. Unsure of how many days you would need in Majorca.
