Heading to Bar Harbor and I'm looking for the best restaurants to try while I'm visiting. Open to all types of food! What are your top places to eat?
Side Street Cafe is good for some basic American food. 2 Cats Bar Harbor I found to be over rated. I had an excellent steak at Havana

Burning Tree Restaurant in Otter Creek (about a 5 minute drive from Bar Harbor) is an absolute must for a special night. Not pretentious, perfectly cooked gourmet food. Specializes in local fish and seafood, they have a broad menu and interesting flavor combinations.
The Lompoc Cafe on Rodick St. is a nice restaurant-pub with great food and atmosphere, outdoor seating and a bocce garden. (And live music on weekends).
Cafe This Way off Mt. Desert St. is THE place to get breakfast, just show up early or get ready to sip coffee while you wait for a table.
