Clothing is much better. I spend a lot of time shopping around. You can see these shopping places in my itinerary for example, the recommended hotels and destination are also included: https://www.justgola.com/plan/2-days-in-bkk-for-backpackers-14898

Hope it's helpful.

Bangkok is one of shopping paradise in Asia, for cloths go to The Platinum Fashion MallChatuchak Market for local entrepreneurs made.

For electric devices, tourists will get tax refund at stated malls and department stores.

Chiang Mai is worth for handicrafts and souvenir shopping.

My sister who lives in Bangkok brought me to Platinum Fashion Mall, EmQuartier, Pratu Nam Market, Siam Paragon Retail., Terminal 21 and Asiatique. I'm not a shopper, but I like The Platinum's bargain prices and selection of casual dresses, shirts, and accessories.

EmQuartier sells high-end products, and it's not a bargain shopper's paradise.

The clothing sizes in Thailand tend to run a little small. Not sure about the shoe sizes, prices, etc., as I prefer shoes in the US. In some shopping malls, you won't find fitting rooms. So, to me shopping is an adventure in Bangkok.

Chiang Mai's night markets are the best for local made scarves and souvenirs.

Hi, Bonjour,

As a view of Malaysian, electronic products in Thailand is not cheaper.

Shoes and clothing are fine.

It is better to buy clothes/ shoes , Especially underwear is cheap there (i.e. Wacoal bras)

For skin care:  Boots are cheap there

Many people buy aroma oil for room.
