I have plane tickets booked to Bangkok! I'll be staying for a couple of weeks, have a U.S. passport, and will be coming in from the U.S. Do I need a visa, and if so, do I need to bring proof of having booked the flights?
If you're traveling to Thailand from the U.S. by plane for just two weeks, you do not need a visa. In fact, you can stay up to 30 days without one.
Nope! That was one of the reasons I chose to go to Thailand last summer. I didn't have to go through the costs and troubles of getting a visa :)
