I'm headed to Bangkok in a few months for a wedding near the Ratchadamri BTS station. I'll be there for about five days to visit the city as well. What do you think is the best neighborhood to stay in? I'm looking to rent an airbnb or something for my stay. Thanks for your help!
It depends on what you're going for, but I'l share a couple of suggestions. For a more downtown neighborhood, there's Ratchathewi. Lots of high rises and malls there. For backpacker style, Khao San Rd is the place for that. The atmosphere is young and lively there and there's tons of nightlife.
