Valerie from Los Angeles asked

Best free things to do in Bainbridge Island?

I'm going to be in Bainbridge Island next month and will be on a pretty tight budget. I'm looking for the best free and inexpensive things to check out! I love the outdoors, art, museums, you name it. Thanks!

The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is a short walk right off the ferry. It's very nice and has free admission. Just wandering around Winslow, grabbing ice cream at Mora Iced Creamery - Bainbridge Island and people watching is a treat.

Visit the Japanese Internment Memorial at Pritchard Park.

Go for hikes in the forests. The island has an extensive trail system.

Rent or borrow a bike...the island is great for cycling.

Enjoy lattes and delicious baked goodies at Blackbird Bakery.

Grab a big salad from Town & Country Market Inc salad bar.

Hang out on main street - Winslow Way E.

The ferry ride over to the island offers the best views back of Seattle. Winslow (where the ferry docks) is a great small town with a nice main street. Waterfront parks, nice art museum and great restaurants/pubs. It's a great place, you'll enjoy it. Try Bon Bon Confections for Bainbridge Island Fudge. Bainbridge is a great place, you'll enjoy it!
