I love Christmas and want to visit Austria during this time to visit the Christmas markets. Where are the best markets and when do they usually begin?
Hi , as mentioned before there are a number of them around Vienna. Most of the products available are similar between the markets but some have unique items. One nice touch is to try to collect souvenir mugs from each one. Some markets share the mugs but most are different - you get the mugs for a deposit when buying hot wine etc. My personal favourites : Rathaus , Schönbrunn , as well as the one close to Naschmarkt ( will need to look up the official name ). Enjoy ... And dress warmly ;)
