Best part of Australia to tour?

Where is the best place to tour while visiting Australia for a month? I have a three year old boy and we would love to see some Kangaroos and koala bears.

I'd say northern Queensland. He can see the beaches in Cairns and there's a great train to Kuranda. You can take him up to the rainforest in Cape Tribulation ... and you're sure to see kangaroos in the Atherton Tablelands. And if you like cheesecake, drop in at the Mungalli Creek Dairy.

Darwin is also pretty cool. I think he'll go nuts over the termite mounds. If you get to Brisbane, he'll love going on the CityCat catamaran. And they Queensland Museum & Sciencentre is good for all ages.
