I've been wanting to visit Antelope Canyon for about 2 years. I currently live in Northern California, and I hear the nearest airport is Las Vegas. As Bryce and Zion Canyon are nearby, I am interested in going there too. I have the following questions:
- Assuming that we're coming from Las Vegas, what's the best driving route to see all 3 canyons (Antelope, Bryce, Zion)?
- How much time would this entire trip take? (w/o being rushed)
- Lodging recommendations along the way?
- Go with a tour or by self? I generally prefer to not go with large tour groups, but I'm open to possibilities.
- Winter travel: What are the conditions like in January to April?
- Any other recommendations along the way?
Thanks for your help!
Antelope Canyon (Arizona) Bryce Canyon National Park (Utah) Zion National Park (Utah)
I haven't done a trip quite like the one you're doing, but I have some lodging recommendations. The Courtyard Page at Lake Powell is great as is the Best Western Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel in Bryce. For Zion Park, I like the La Quinta Inn & Suites at Zion Park/Springdale. Hope you have fun!

We loved our stay Cliffrose Lodge & Gardens in Springdale.
I would plan on spending 2-4 days in Zion, then head to Bryce for a day or two, then make your way to Antelope. From Zion take 9 to 89 to Bryce, then 89 to Page. My husband and I covered these areas over 6 days. January offers smaller crowds, however, you may have to deal with snow and ice, so proper footwear will allow you to explore more than we were able. See if you can get in to see The Wave on your way to Antelope Canyon. Permits are required, but some are given out in advance on line.
