New York City
Three of us (including a one-year-old) will be visiting Amsterdam for a week. We want to avoid touristy venues and instead get a feel for how the city's residents spend their time. We'll be staying on the east side of Vondelpark.
Are you a parent in Amsterdam? Are there certain parks/playgrounds/experiences that you make part of your weekend routine? Do you have a favorite morning walk route?
Hubby and I have been to Amsterdam four times and loved it! I am not sure about travelling there with a toddler, but I am sure there are plenty of things to do.
Vondelpark is great to visit - and it's huge. There are also some great parks to the east of the city.
When we were there in May (for the tulips) we took our bikes out to the north of Holland and had a wonderful day trip. I think it would be awesome with kids. See it here: http://www.neverendinghoneymoon.net/chasing-tulips/
