Hello! My siblings and I are going on a Baltic/Scandinavian cruise (Copenhagen, Oslo, Aarhus, Tallin, Warnemunde, Stockholm, St.Petersburg) this month and want hit up other parts of Europe such as Amsterdam, Rome, Lisbon, Barcelona, Geneva, and Paris. Any tips for places to visit in these locations, things to do or souvenirs to buy would very much be appreciated. Thanks in advance! 😃
I would highly recommed Lisbon. It's a city with lot's to offer and a place that is quite different than the other places you will visit, so it will give you some diversity too.
Hello Therese! I don't have info and tips for all the cities, but here's what I know!
Copenhagen : Visit The Little Mermaid statue, Amalienborg, the park around Rosenborg Castle, Frederiksberg (where you can also visit the Carlsberg A/S beer brewery. The Den Blå Planet (Aquarium) is also amazing! Restaurant recommendations: Huks Fluks in Gråbrødretorv and gorm's i Magstræde (pizzeria).
In Rome there is sooo much to see! Surely Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Piazza di Spagna, Vatican City. Restaurant recommendations: Sabatini in Vicolo Santa Maria in Trastevere, Giggetto, Ponte e Parione, Tre Scalini (for ice cream) Jonathan's Angels (bar).
Barcelona: Do visit Parc Güell, Basílica de la Sagrada Família, walk by La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Also go up to Montjuïc, walk down La Rambla and walk the promenade by Barceloneta all the way to Port Olympic.
For Paris, I have a mini guide on my blog over here (it will take so much space to write down my suggestions) http://aspectsofstyle.com/2014/03/12/a-quick-guide-to-paris/
