We are planning a girls trip to Albuquerque for the balloon festival. Where would you stay? Does not have to be really upscale, just a great location and nice. I do like local places if they are reasonable.
The Balloon festival is on the north side of town. There is a Hampton Inn & Suites Albuquerque Airport just off I-20 on that side of town also Sandia Resort & Casino. To do local you might try an Airbnb on the north side. Airbnb is almost always a good local way to go! My favorite place to stay is Los Poblanos Lavender Farm, at least visit the gift shop, it’s a lovely place that gives you a good feel of New Mexico
