The High Road tour

We are going on the High Road trip Sept 29-30.  It is only 67 miles long but there are lots of galleries and sites along the way.  Where would you stop and stay the first night?

If you are starting in Albuquerque, I would spent the first night there. It is a wonderful city and there is a lot to see and do. I would eat at Mary & Tito's Cafe for some great green, red, or christmas (green and red) chilies and a sopapilla and have breakfast at Grove Cafe & Market.  I would also visit Old Town,  Petroglyph National Monument Visitor Center, and hike to see the petroglyphs at Petroglyph National Monument. We stayed at the Hotel Andaluz and it was a wonderful stay.
