Where to stay

Where is a good halfway point to stop between anchorage and Whitehorse

Hi John!  There are not very many populated places with places to stay, so I would recommend stopping in Tok before heading to Whitehorse .  If you had more than two days to make the drive, you could stay at the Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge (near Glenallen, which is only 180 miles from Anchorage, but the scenery is stunning).  Then onward to Tok from there (only 138 miles), and then to Whitehorse the third day (386 miles--a very long day).  I strongly recommend getting a 2018 copy of The Milepost, which covers all the highways in Alaska and Canada, and has valuable information on places to stay and eat, and, most importantly, where to get gas.  :-)  Have fun!  Tracey
