Guatemala: Could anyone recommend a good and fairly priced home stay and/or courses?

Contact Celas Maya Atitlán. I did their Spanish/homestay program in Xela, and they recently opened a new location in Lake Atitlan. Quality instructors and they keep on top of the homestays to make sure you're comfortable. See More

Nicaragua: Best way to get around Nicaragua?

Renting a car is a nice option- most of the roads are well maintained and easy to drive on. You can take your car on the ferry to Ometepe- no problem. Taking the local buses is an adventure and manageable, but you need to know some Spanish. See More
