Honestly, if you're going to Tokyo... it doesn't matter.  Just stay fairly close to a train station.  The bigger train stations offer more but will also be flat out busier.  Smaller less crowded and will be less rushed.  Hope this helps. See More

Hana.... my recommendation is to drive your self.  You can control your speed and take in any POI location that you wish to stop and enjoy.  However if you take the van, you will have a higher probability of motion sickness.  Hope this helps. See More
