About Me

I finished studying Classics at Oxford a year ago. I spent four summer holidays in a row working as a guide in Rome for Roman Empire Tours. When I wasn't guiding, I was off exploring the Eternal City. In my first month in Rome, I set myself the challenge to see every single museum and art gallery and over the years I have subsequently revisited many of them. I'm now back in London working with travel startups. I like to spend my weekends either discovering this vast and fascinating city or relaxing in my home-from-home, Oxford.

Marrakech: Walking routes in Marrakech

Hi, I'm going to be in Marrakech for a week at the end of June and I wanted some advice on walking in Marrakech. Ideally I'd love to hear suggestions about walks/routes that take 2/3 hours, but longer than that is fine. Anywhere with good views or with interesting... See More

Rome: Great Neighborhoods for Walking

The centre of Rome is a magical place to walk around. There is a beautiful baroque fountain or Roman ruin round every corner. A good walking route is: Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona then... See More

Rome: How expensive is Rome and Florence?

These cities can be expensive, but if you're smart then you needn't spend too much. Avoid tourist menus as they are a rip off. Advice mainly for Rome (where I used to live): Getting out of the historic centre for dinner is a very good idea - in Rome restaurants... See More
