About Me

Living in Stockholm, Sweden.

I <3 dogs, queerness, politics, science fiction, feminism, EMB/goth, hanging out at bars, books, oceans/seas/ponds, old houses, forest walks, unicorns, botanical gardens, museums, dragqueens, roadtrips.

Things I devour: cake, donuts, coffee, fruit, chocolate, non-alcoholic beer, and a lot of vegetarian food.

I travel both in my spare time and in my line of work. Over the last three years I've been to Vienna in Austria, Italy (Tuscany, Venice, and more), Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in France, Skiathos in Greece, Hawaii, Florida, London, Chisinau in Moldova, Tbilisi and Kazbegi/Stepantsminda in Georgia, Åland (Finland), Cyprus, Kiev, Las Vegas, Chicago, Brussels, California, Glasgow, Copenhagen, Belgrade, New Orleans, Savannah, and around Sweden.

Travel-plans for 2018 include Oxford, London (again), and Åland. Other places that I also wish to go to soon is Tokyo, Iceland, Canada, and the Faroe Islands.

Honolulu: Intermediate/Advanced hikes

Try out the Koko head trail, which you'll find by the Koko Head Trailhead Parking. This hike is only uphill, following an old railroad track used för shipping equipment. Quite tough, especially in heat. But when you reach the top the view is stunning!... See More

Favorite Places for Vegan Travel?

You've already gotten great answers but I just wanna add Vienna to the list. This was a pleasant surprise for me when I was there since I thought that Austria would be a tricky country for someone who doesn't eat meat. :) Lots of vegan food... See More

Hawaii: Where to go to avoid tourists and see the real Hawaii

I spent 2 weeks in Hawaii in October 2015 and would say that out of the three islands I visited, Kaua'i was the one that really stood out: fewer people, lots of quiet areas, small towns, and amazing nature. Of course, you will meet tourists at some... See More

Europe: Europe itinerary from Paris

Hi Faisal! As mentioned by Crystal, train is a great option. You can of course also travel by air to save some time (depending on what's easiest with your two children).  I would start out with 5-6 days in Paris, since it is a huge city. Then spend 2 nights in... See More

Sweden: Must see places/things in Sweden if only there for 3 days?

Hi Andi! Maybe it is too late to answer your question, but it is hard to say which parts of the country to visit unless I know when you are traveling here. Because some parts are great in summer, others in winter. When is the trip to take place? Also, what are you into?... See More
