I grew up poor and the furthest place I ever went was the jersey shore once or twice. I got older, went to college, got a job and started to make my own money. I still waited until after paying off my student loans to begin traveling but now I just keep following my feet further and further. It doesn't hurt to have a girlfriend who's a travel agent either.
