I usually travel with my husband and daughter. We live simply so that we can take as many vacations as possible. We love to eat good, local food and we are suckers for good pizza and steak.
Amalfi Coast: What is the best time of year to visit the Amalfi Coast?
I really enjoyed being in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast in late November. I wore a long sleeve shirt and sometimes a light jacket. Positano was pretty deserted at that time of year, although I still found stores and restaurants open. As Mary mentioned, all major sights were open... See More
I agree with Peter about the Flamenco show. Our hotel booked it for us. Even though it was just around the corner from our hotel, we got lost on the way there! Part of the fun in Seville is getting lost in Barrio Santa Cruz. I loved walking around the "Kissing Lanes."... See More
Hi Jayde, Sounds like a great trip! Studio Ghibli tickets are a little difficult to buy because they sell out quickly. Check out the Ghibli museum website for information on how to buy tickets. I bought ours from the JTB USA website. It looks like they now only sell... See More

Florence: Transportation from train station
Hi Ellen, Ahh, Florence. That is one of my all time favorite cities! I would think a taxi would be your best option. When we traveled to Florence we took the taxi to our hotel (although we've only stayed in the city...but too far to walk with luggage from the... See More
Spain: 37ish Days In Spain - Itinerary Help!
WOW! What a great itinerary. You asked if you need two days in Toledo. Not really. We made it a day trip from Madrid and had plenty of time. It would be ok to do two nights, but there's a lot to be said for being able to stay in the same hotel for longer instead... See More

A lot of good suggestions here...you must go to Uffizi Gallery and Academia! Other off-the-beaten path ideas: The Museo Galileo is a good choice if you’re into the sciences. Leonardo da Vinci Museum has... See More
