"Basalt has some awesome restaurants to hit before you get to the city of Aspen… El Jebel/Willits is just after Carbondale (which is a fantastic stop but this is about the Basalt area) on highway 82 if you're heading from I70 to Aspen- makes a great stop for some awesome restaurants - Pan-Asian, Italian, pub food, Mexican…a little further in old town Basalt, there is Thai,Pub food, French, American Bistro, El Salvadoran, Mediterranean… Gold medal trout stream, good shopping and great Sunday Market till October and super Dog friendly."
