"Boston is a very lively and walkable city and I'm sure you're going to like it! For starters do the Freedom Trail which takes you through the most important sites associated with the start of the American Revolution. Plus you're going to see most of downtown Boston and the North End in that way! Beacon Hill is lovely for a walk (and is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Boston. Definitely check out Acorn St which is said to be the most photographed street in the US. Relevant posts here: /"  See More

"Harvard Square in Cambridge: right in the middle of Harvard University which is the home of several great museums."  See More

"Are they art museum people? If so, the Museum of Fine Arts is a must-see. It has a very large collection and a museum not big enough to hold it all, the result being that it's one of the best-curated art museums I've ever set foot in. The "Ladder District" has become a center for nightlife in Boston. (Hilarious for anyone who grew up there because it was once known as the "Combat Zone." Aaaaaah, gentrification...) It's been a couple of years since I lived there and the nightclub scene changes fast. All my old standbys have been bulldozed into the ground in order to build condominiums. This is a good beginning resource for places to go: ."  See More
