We have finally booked a trip to Sri Lanka in january and will be staying in Bentota. (that we have visited Before) We are travelling wth 2 kids, age 1 and 3, and want to visit Pinnawala, preferably with an overnight stay (in Pinnawala or around). Is it easy enough to arrange that in Place, or could it be booked full?
What could a rough price be? We need nothing fancy but Clean. I guess most drivers have their deals with hotels so maybe its easier to let them put together a package?
Thanks for input.

thanks for everything....
My name is Janine and I am from Australia. My friend and I are planning a trip to Sri Lanka in Feb 07 to visit some children we sponsor in 2 orphanages one in Wattegama and the other in Pamunugama.
We are planning on spending 5 days at the orphanages, flying to India for 5 days to visit more children we sponsor near the Sera Je Monastry, then back to Sri lanka for 5 days of relaxation and sightseeeing.
We have both been to Bali and I am presuming they are similar as in finding transport (anyone with a car will drive you for a fee)
Money changes, always count your money before leaving etc
Food, don't drink water, eat ice etc
Do we haggle over everything or just accept the price offered?
It will be our first visit so we will appreciate any tips and help available.
We are 2 Australians travelling to Sri Lanka with the thought of flying to India for a few days. Should we book the flight before we go or just book it while we are in Sri Lanka?
Just wondering if anyone has stayed in Villa Rosita guesthouse?
We are looking for somewhere reasonably cheap around the Pamunugama area as we are visiting an orphanage there, also somewhere near Wattegama or Kandy as we have another orphanage there to visit.
Has anybody stayed at the "Hotel Club Palm Bay Marawila". Its in the virginholiday brochure but I cannot find any reviews on it. It is supposedly 4* ? Thinking about travelling to Sri Lanka in July, what would the weather be like ?
Our family is volunteering in a small village 30 k inland near Ambagalonga. My boys, 11 and 15 and my husband will be teaching English to novice monks in the temple and I will be working in an orphanage. We will be living with a local family in their home and they will be cooking for/with us. I would like to know what an appropriate gift would be to bring to the family and also things to bring with us that might be necessary and helpful(i.e. mosquito nets) . I would also like to know the proper things to do so I don't insult anyone (I'm lefthanded!). Any helpful hints will be welcomed! Thank you, Suzee
