I'm still deciding whether to stay a couple of nights in Vicenza, (and use the train to visit Verona for a day as well,) or stay in Verona. If it's the latter, I'd visit Vicenza for the day, on the way to Venice, and need to store a large suitcase for a few hours. Is such a service available in Vicenza, and if so, would anyone have a rough idea of the charge per bag?
According to the Italian railway site there is a luggage storage in Vicenza, fsitaliane.it/cms/v/index.js...
I am not sure about the cost, I sort of remember that in Venice a friend payed 5-8 euros for the day.
Verona and Vicenza are close and well served by the train, same for Padova and Venezia, you can easily travel between all of them, train every 30-40 minutes and buses as well.
Grazie, Orietta...I will continue to look for a good place to stay in Vicenza, but it's good to know that this option is possible for me if I stay in Verona instead.
