We enjoyed Ulm so much we didn't take any notes or anything. Now I am wondering where we were and would appreciate any help you can offer.
This was a pedestrian mall. There was a restaurant called Cavallino, I think, and some ponds and fountains, and a big blue soup can exhibit about solar energy. This was 6 years ago.
Any help? The picture is in my photos.
I think you were in Gloklerstrasse (with an umlaut over the o). That's where Cavellino is and this pic looks like the background of your photo:
The soup tin is not there anymore but the fountain is. It is at the corner of Hirschstraße and Glöcklerstraße, both being pedestrian zones. Glöcklerstraße links Hirschstraße and Neue Straße. The latter is a major thoroughfare, Hirschstraße is the long pedestrian street which leads from the main railway station to the cathedral (Ulmer Münster).
