Whats it like?

Hi, I have been unable to find any information about Turenne, France... Would this be a good base to explore South Western France? Can you recommend a hotel in Turenne? Thanks for your help Mike

I agree with what has been answered. However, though Turenne has only 742 inhabitants, the telephone book gives several hotel facilities. hôtel-restaurant Maison des Chanoines Bourg 19500 TURENNE 05 55 85 93 43 hôtel-restaurant Guillaume Alain Gare 19500 TURENNE 05 55 85 92 98 Hostellerie Chateau de Coutinard Coutinard 19500 TURENNE 05 55 85 91 88 Turenne is among the 141 most beautiful villages of France. WOW !!! Thanks so much for the information. I keep forgetting the yellow pages. I googled Turenne and I got to page 30 without any information on the town or hotels. A small town is what I'm looking for. Thanks again, Mike

Turenne is worth a visit but there`s not a lot there. I would stay at Beaulieu-sur Dordogne which is beautiful and there are several hotels. the Hotel turenne is really nice.
