Stuttgart

Hotel and Trade Fair Transportation

Hello - We will be arriving in Stuttgart for the Intervitis Trade Fair at Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH in April and would sure appreciate any help for hotel ideas. I would like to go sightseeing while my husband attends the show, therefore we would like to be close to a train, etc. that goes to the fair and within walking distance of places which I could explore on my own. We are flying into Frankfurt and will be travelling by train to Stuttgart. Also, any suggestions as to what I would be able see and do would be greatly appreciated. Have never been to Stuttgart before and am looking forward to our visit.
We will also be in Heilbronn so any suggestions for hotel, sightseeing there would also wonderful too.
Thanks in advance for any help.

These places are however not really in walking distance. Or it's at least a walk of one hour or so. Best will be to get a 3-day ticket for local public transport

Opt for the EUR 12,80 network version.

Two highlights of the Stuttgart region you can reach in approx. 15 minutes by S-Bahn (covered with the above suggested network version of the 3-day ticket) are Esslingen and Ludwigsburg.
Esslingen has a nice medieval city centre. One of the biggest cities in Germany not destroyed in WWII.

Ludwigsburg is for Germany an incredible young place (less than 300 years old).
Ludwigsburg Palace is the greatest German Baroque Palace.

Heilbronn

Nice is also the Neckar Valley between Heilbronn and Heidelberg. Which is also part of the Castle Road. Something you can easily include into your route back to Franfkurt.
