I like to explore Wayanad next month with my friends(a team of 5 members). Can anybody suggest me the best places to see? Also like to know about the activities like hiking & trekking in Wayanad. Kindly suggest me a good budget resort to stay as well. I prefer a plantation resort or a guest house in forest. Please help.

Just need a bit of help on the costs in Kerala so i can have an idea of how much money to take so can anyone tell me the prices please of eating out and drinks and any other things you might know in Ruppee's please
is it true that kerala is alcohol free state ?
I am trying to decide between different resorts in Kumarakom for 2 nights stay. This is a quick family trip. Basic focus is on beautiful property and good food. I checked prices of different properties seems like, I can have option to go with Abad Whispering Palms and Backwater Ripples.
If I check reviews, Abad Whispering Palms have mixed reviews and looks ok. While Backwater Ripples looks dated in comparison to Abad (I checked pictures on Trip Advisor).
Please help me to decide, which one can I go with. Checking their pictures is not helping me. Local DE and people who stayed there, should be able to give me more insight.

We are going to Kerela July for a few days 3 nights, and want to spend a few days in on the backwaters, for a bigger group 12 people, can you please give some 'local' houseboat rental companies. Thanks
Also is this the rainy season?
Anyone can suggest a good, clean, trustworthy place to have the above treatments?
I am going to be at a conference in Hyderabad and thought i would take advantage of my trip to india with a 9 day visit to Kerala.
So far this is what I've got: I arrive at Kochin on 11/january... and depart from Thiruvananthapuram on the 20th. Everything else is totally open but i think a visit to Munnar and the backwaters is a must.
Any other advice? Here's a little information about me.
I love culture and nature/wildlife.
I would rather staying in a guesthouse or home stay, than a 5 star hotel or resort - but want my own bathroom.
I've never been on a white sandy beach - but wouldn't want to share it with immense crowds.
I don't like tourist traps.
I love meeting like minded people.
Whats the best way to travel from one area to the next? I keep getting conflicting opinions on this.
Any help or advice will be immensely appreciated.

a tip for a good driver in Kerala?
Will anyone be in Kerala this October? I'll be visiting these places (Cochin --> Wayanad --> Idukki --> Alleypey ) and staying at homestays at each of these places. If anyone wants to share a room, a cab or take the train together, lemme know. Cheers!
I'm doing a solo trip to Kerala and will be staying a total of 3 weeks.
I was wondering if anyone has been to these parts of Kerala and can suggest an itinerary in terms of the best cities to visit. I'll be landing at Cochin Airport and doing a homestay in Cochin (any recommendations?) for 3 days. Thereafter I can't decide whether to go to Idukki or Allappuzha.- which is more scenic? I'm interested in picturesque places, something like Munnar (which I've been to). After Idukki / Allappuzha, I will most likely do a homestay in Kollam/ Pathanamthitta. Thereafter I'll be spending my final week in Trivandrum with some friends, before flying home to Singapore. Would appreciate tips on scenic places to visit in these areas travelling downward from Cochin and also suggestions on homestays for singles. Thanks!
A friend of mine with her mother would be traveling to Kumarakkom or Allepey in the month of April. Could someone suggest a safe home stay or a reasonably priced and clean hotel accommodation?
I need advise rather urgently becos we hv not decided whether to land in Kochi or Trivandrum. My husband and I intend to fly in about 25 Dec - 3 Dec. (our dates are flexible)
1. Sh we fly in to Kochi and out Trivandrum? How many days for each?
2. Sh we hire a car & driver?
3. We like to have some Ayuv. treatment - pl. recc
4. Hotels to recc. also
5. Houseboat - it seems 1N would be more than enough?
Hi I will be heading to Kerala mid October and would like to do two things there. One is find a teacher in Kalaripayattu, an ancient Indian martial art and number two visit the backwaters I've heard so much about. As far as the martial arts, I've been training in traditional martial arts for over 30 years and have owned a few schools over 15 years in my past. While I'm still teaching in Canada it's on a smaller scale now. I've heard quite a bit out Kalari and if anyone knows a good teacher in Kerala I would appreciate passing the contact information on to me and any info on a decent backwater tour.
Thanks so much,
